Memories Fade Quickly
I first saw this video on the blog, How To Be A Dad:
For Andy Herald, the video reminded him of a phrase he learned from his father, tempus fugit, which means time flies:
Then, when I became a dad myself, I discovered a new depth of understanding about the concept. I came to appreciate how, ironically, timeless this concept of the turbo-charged passage of time was. It all just goes so fast when you have kids. Sooooooooooo fast.
For me, the video brought back my own blur of memories of having a little baby. Unless you get a picture or take your own video, so many of the memories are lost and all you end up with are little snippets. Which is too bad, because at least at the time, all you want to do is remember the moments forever – just perhaps not the sleepless nights.
